Trip Report

So I went to Regina on the weekend, a place where I seem to find myself more frequently. I went with the intention of visiting some friends and playing some poker. Turns out the friends that I wanted to visit weren't around so they lended me their place for the weekend. The 2 1/2 drive to Regina is brutal and I couldn't stand it and having to listen to the radio. When I got there I headed straight to the casino. I played in one of the funnest tables that I have ever played at. We had 6 people playing in "drink pots". The rules are very simple, everytime one of the 6 players won a pot over $200 they would have to buy a round of drinks, well with the game we were playing almost every pot was over $200. The table was very friendly and loud which is a nice change of pace in a casino as it is usually filled with miserable degenerates. Two people ended up getting kicked out for having too much to drink and I ended up heading home around 6 am. Saturday was pretty much more of the same, I couldn't sleep at all which really sucked and I headed back to the casino at noon and played around 18 hours worth of poker. In hindsight I wish I hadn't played that long as I was drinking with a couple guys that were playing at the same table and we were all thinking about going out. it would've ended up being a lot more profitable going out than continuing to play poker. I even tried to convince one of the waitresses to go drinking but she told me that the bars were all closed and said the only place where there was beer was in her fridge yet I was too stupid to figure out what that meant.
